Manage your profile
To ensure that all members of the Wehome community can use the platform with peace of mind, please provide a detailed introduction of yourself. The more detailed your profile information, the more trust hosts and guests can have when making reservations. This helps maintain Wehome as a safer and more reliable space. The additional profile information may be highlighted to hosts and guests in various parts of the Wehome platform.
Recommended information to include in your profile
- A profile picture that shows your face so that others can recognize you when you arrive at the accommodation as a guest or when you welcome a guest as a host.
- A description of at least 50 words explaining why you joined Wehome and what you want others to know about you.
- Various verification details, such as email and identity verification, in the verified information section.
Profile picture
All hosts must upload a profile picture, and some hosts may restrict bookings to guests who also have a profile picture.
While you can choose your photo freely, please upload a picture that complies with Wehome’s content policy. Profile pictures may be displayed to other users on the Wehome platform.
Information Displayed on Your Profile
The key information included in a profile varies depending on whether you are a host, a guest, or both.
For hosts, the profile information includes:
- Full name
- Year joined Wehome
- Hosting experience on Wehome
- Average star rating
- Verification status, such as phone number, identity or email verification
- Reviews left by guests
- Reviews you have left
- Membership in the Host Advisory Board (if applicable)
- Whether you are a Super Host or Ambassador Host
For guests, the profile information includes:
- Full name
- Year joined Wehome
- Verification status, such as identity or email verification
- Reviews left by hosts
- Reviews you have left for stays
Additional information you can add to your profile
Other information, aside from the above, can be added at your discretion. For example, you can decide how much information to include about languages you speak, interests, favorite sports, etc. While you cannot edit your birth year or previous booking history, you can hide these items from being displayed on your profile. All information included in your profile must meet the standards outlined in the Wehome content policy.
As a host, the information displayed on your profile can help set appropriate expectations for guests. Therefore, choose carefully what information to include.
Wehome requires hosts to add a profile picture and recommends all users to upload a profile picture.
Places where profile information may be displayed
All profile information is visible to other users in the Wehome community. Information entered in your profile can also be displayed in various places across the Wehome platform. For hosts, profile information may be displayed in the following locations:
- Profile Preview in Search Results: When searching for rooms on Wehome, some information from the host’s profile may be included in the search results.
- Job Highlight in Search Results: If you include your job in your profile, it can be displayed along with the accommodation in search results.
- Accommodation Page: A profile preview may also be displayed on the accommodation page.
For hosts, profile information may be displayed in the following locations:
- Accommodation Page: Clicking the profile picture on the accommodation page will link to the host’s profile.
For guests, profile information may be displayed as follows:
- When Sending a Booking Request: When you send a booking request, some of your profile information will be shown to the host.
Reviews on the - Accommodation Page: People browsing the accommodation page can view reviews left by other guests and can also see the full profile pages of the guests who left the reviews.
